 Moved armoir from lower level to upper level. Moved a treadmill from upper level to basement. Hauled some old furniture to the curb. Perfect. Got next day service on a SUNDAY. Arrived on time, proceeded to get to work and accomplished everything in short order. Furniture was moved with no impact to walls or other surfaces. Removed doors where needed and replaced them when complete. Didn't use up the whole two hour minimum so they asked if there were other things we needed moved...which there wasn't but nice of them to ask.

Shawn and Derrick were great! They arrived on-time and worked from the minute they got there until they left. I swear they are both related to the Energizer Bunny....they just kept on going and going and going...they worked tirelessly and didn't allow either me or my husband to lift anything! They knew how to use all the moving equipment to achieve optimal effectiveness and didnt waste one minute.They acted like professional movers at all time, were respectful, courteous and and very pleasant! We're calling them for our next move...maybe in 3 or 4 years when we move UP NORTH!Member Comments: GREAT! COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER OUTCOME...AND I CALLED THEM AT THE LAST MINUTE!

I requested service from Big Guy for Hire to load up a 24 foot truck I was using to move my family to Minneapolis. The two gentlemen that were dispatched were Derek and Shawn. They were very nice and worked very well together. Derek even backed the truck in to a very difficult position so as to cut down on the amount of time needed to load the truck. we were living in an apartment complex with other cars around and there is no way I would have been able to get the truck parked in the location he got it with what seemed like ease of effort. Truly amazing. I gave Punctuality a "B" because the movers were 15 minutes late, though in their defense they did contact me prior to the requested start time to inform me they were running behind. Once, they arrived, they were quick to get right to work. Derek and Shawn worked very well together and got the job done quickly and efficiently. It also didn't hurt that they were very nice and had great attitudes. Overall, my experience was great and I would definitely use them again. Thank you Big Guy for your help and I hope you keep up the great work.

They did a very good job. They were efficient, on time, and professional. I originally ordered a twenty four foot truck from U-Haul. The truck had a flat tire so U-Haul could only give me a twenty foot truck. However, this team was accommodating to my needs and completed the work. I was pleased with the service. The price was also reasonable.

These Movers were very good. The Movers were running late due to a truck breaking down but the main office called and explained the situation and they arrived a few hours later. Sean and Derek were very professional and took extra care with my furniture and the move went fine. Moving and don't want a hassle? Big Guy's are highly recommended!

John et al. were great. In this day and age it is hard to get people to respond to your call, and John did! They came to my house on a very hot day, and moved some very heavy furniture up and down stairs. They took all precautions to make sure that hardwood floors were protected, and removed a door from the hinges to move a large desk. They even have a good sense of humor. I would call John for any moving job.

Did a great job for a great price. I was looking for movers to help my mother move to Ohio and decided upon Big Guy for hire due to their Yelp reviews and website. Great pair of guys that got the job done. I would use again. They moved 2 full pods in less than 4 hours. Moving went well. Very profession guys that worked there butts off.

They were there on time and called me when I wasn't there because I had the time wrong (I was exhausted from driving all night with the moving trucks). They were professional after waiting for me and didn't try to charge me extra. It all went quickly and smoothly. It was only two guys and I was a little worried at first, but it was cheaper than I expected. They did a good job of packing the units tight so that it all fit. I had more stuff than I expected. They did a good job

On the morning of our move, we got a call from them saying they were on their way, and they ended up being a few minutes late (maybe about 7 minutes as far as I can remember), which wasn't a problem because we were frantically still packing like lazy bums anyways.Our two movers, Derek and Jake, were quick, skillful, and exceedingly polite (it got a little weird to me just how polite they were. Do people honestly demand that kind of interaction? Maybe I'm the weird one, but I'd be perfectly happy with movers that were silent, blunt, to the point, and viciously efficient). Side tangent: It was fascinating to see how Derek packed the truck I rented. We had the same truck (17') as the last time we moved, and when we did it ourselves a year ago, at the end we were struggling to find enough room in the truck to hold our crap. Not with Derek--he went at it like some kind of freakish Tetris savant. What was a hot mess spilling over into multiple car trips in our hands, only took up about 2/3rds of the truck when Derek was done with it (not putting in any items lengthwise seems to be the key to success).I drove the truck to our new place with Derek and Jake following behind, where they proceeded to once again quickly and efficiently unload before they were on their way. Nothing broken, everything where I wanted it to be, and the move was completed in 3 hours. I'd highly recommend Derek and Jake again.

Company was hired to move a large, heavy TV cabinet from the first floor to the second floor of my home. They accomplished this task very capably and quickly. They then offered to move anything else since I had paid for a whole hour and there was still a lot of time left. Appreciated that little "extra" service as I imagine many other companies would have just completed the job contracted for and left! I was extremely happy with the way the job was accomplished.

John and his staff are the most professional, most friendly, most easy-to-work-with movers I have *ever* met, and I'm someone who has moved a LOT all over the country and had many good experiences. Big Guy For Hire blows them all away. They were punctual and fast, seemed to have nearly super-human strength, handled everything with care, were extremely polite and kind (especially to our dog and baby) and just made moving easy - which is typically a stressful experience. Seriously, I'm hoping not to move again for a good long while, but after the professionalism we encountered from them, I'll never call anyone else.

They moved a complete room of bedroom furniture down to the basement from second floor, and moved the basement bedroom furniture up to the second floor bedroom. These men were very prompt and professional. They worked well as a team, and the job was done very quickly with no damage to furniture or walls. This was money well spent and I would definitely recommend them, as well as call them again myself.

I did the small stuff move a few days prior but wanted the heavier things taken care of and wanted to ensure nothing would break. Moved from a 5 bedroom home to a 3 bedroom home. Awesome service, will repeat when I move again. On time, professional and busted their tail the entire time. If you want a worry free, affordable mover there is no better!

I hired Big Guys to move mostly boxed items from one address to another as well as to a storage location. Having used them before, I knew to expect a smooth process with curteous and professional workers doing the job. Unfortunately for us all, the U-Haul truck I had rented lost its drive shaft on I-696 and we were barely able to coast up the exit ramp and come to a stop half off and half on the median. Despite having to wait for two different tow trucks, the Big Guys graciously moved the boxes off the U-Haul and onto their own truck so no more time would be lost. After that, the moving job was completed in no time -- as originally expected. And even though my mishap caused them to lose time for another job scheduled to commence right after mine completed, I was not even charged for the full time they were stuck working on my formally simple job. Clearly, they understood that accidents happen, and that this situation was not my fault. So, I got a break on the cost of their moving service! Not many businesses would do that today for ANY reason, that's for sure. I will continue to use Big Guys for any future moving jobs and recommend them to others wholeheartedly!

Moved a treadmill for us upstairs and on another occasion moved an elliptical upstairs and put it together for us. (separate cost). All work was done correctly, professionally and carefully. Would definitely use them again!! Two big guys came out as promised, on time and did a great job. Didn't take very long and didn't hit any walls! Very happy with service!

Big guys packed a u-haul 26 foot truck with the contents of a 3 bedroom house. I was pretty organized but had still not gotten to the last minute stuff or to the garage stuff. These guys were so calm and asked what went and packed the yet-to-be-packed stuff. They were very professional throughout and it was obvious that they had a system and had done this many times before. In fact, when I arrived at my destination, I hired another moving company to unpack me and they commented on how well the truck was packed. They arrived exactly on time, looked at what had to be moved from each room and went to work. In four hours they loaded my 3 bedroom house. When the unpacking was done there wasn't a single item damaged!
