As a recent college graduate who has always taken on the labor of moving himself, I had only rather vague expectations in mind when I called Big Guy For Hire over a month ago to begin planning my move. Now, with the move newly completed, I'm happy to write that John and his crew more than met all of those expectations. The crew was timely, worked hard and fast but meticulously, and did an extremely impressive job packing--I wish I had the presence of mind to have taken a photo. Even better, they were witty and fun to be around, and had the technical expertise necessary to make up for my ignorance about how my furniture works (they happily disassembled for me whenever necessary). As for John, he couldn't have made the planning and billing run any more smoothly. He was totally transparent re costs (which were very reasonable), answered all of my questions, and was kind enough to accommodate my request to reschedule due to freight elevator availability issues. I'd readily recommend Big Guy For Hire to anyone else moving around in the downtown Detroit area.
