I was having all my floors refinished. I contracted Big Guy for Hire to move my furniture to the garage before the re-finisher started and then move the furniture back into the house after the re-finishing was done. My exercise machine and studio piano would be moved into the kitchen instead of the garage. Derek and Robert called to say they were still working on the job before mine and they would be a little late. I was fine with that because it was raining at the time and I didn't want to start the move in the rain anyway. I was glad they called to let me know. They worked very hard and were very careful not to damage the furniture or the house. Derek said he had worked for Art Van for 10 years moving furniture so he knew how to do the job well. It took 2 hours to move the furniture out of the house. I asked them to move my bed into the basement instead of the garage so I could sleep there while the floors were being re-finished. They came back 1 week later to move the furniture back into the house. They came prepared with felt blanket to throw onto my new floors so they wouldn't damage them. This time it took 3 hours because I asked them to help me assemble some of the large wall unit pieces that I couldn't do by myself and I also asked them to bring many boxes and tubs up from the basement that they didn't have to deal with the first time.
