Christopher Gutkowski from We were thrilled that they did some maneuvering and got it to fit! wrote on February 23, 2013 at 7:00 am
We needed a large, 3 piece sectional couch moved from our main floor living room down a flight of stairs with a 90 degree turn into our finished basement. I purchased an Angie's Deal for one hour of moving services and contacted the owner on the number provided shortly after that same morning. At about 9 a.m. it sounded as if I had woken him up and was surprised when he answered, "Hello?" instead of with the name of the company. He was able to schedule me for the very next day, but instead of taking my information himself, he asked that I fill out a form on his website. This first impression was not positive or professional and I was concerned. The next day our appt was for noon and the movers phoned that they had finished their morning job early and would be out at about 11:00 a.m. instead of noon if that was okay. Randall and Paul arrived right at 11:00. We explained that we wanted to move a large sectional sofa from the living room down into the basement. Two of the three couch pieces would be easy but we feared that the large sleeper sofa part would not fit down the stairs. They got the first two parts down the stairs and into the basement and said that they thought they could get the large piece down too so they tried. We were thrilled that they did some maneuvering and got it to fit! Paul suggested a great placement of the sectional to put it in full view of both the entertainment center and the fireplace. The guys then positioned the new sofa that we had in the living room into a good location upstairs. The movers were friendly and efficient and Paul even took time to greet our little dogs so they wouldn't... Read more

The movers were friendly and efficient and Paul even took time to greet our little dogs so they wouldn't be afraid of him. Our little female chihuahua was an abused rescue and is very afraid of strangers, especially men. She took to Paul and even let him pet her! You can't get a better character reference than that :-).

I would suggest the phone be answered with the company name, the movers wear some kind of company shirt and have identification on their vehicle. It was for these reasons I gave a "c" for professionalism, but the movers themselves were great.

>RESPONSE FROM BIG GUY: We thought everything went above and beyond awesome...? We both had company t-shirts on, we dont own a truck (we are labor only) and we answered the phone the same way we always answer the phone. I don€™t recall having a bad phone experience when you called...? Trying our best to please every customer! John & Derek<... Collapse
