We had to pick up some furniture from our parents home in GR and bring it to our home. We knew that we couldn't get the big dresser and desk up our stairs to the second floor but didn't need a whole moving crew with a truck, you know, traditional movers . I looked on angies list for a helper and found BIG GUY FOR HIRE. It worked out perfectly! John and his man did it with ease. They were very prompt, professional and friendly.

Super easy to deal with, efficient...‎
I had a bunch of heavy things I needed to move around my house and had been putting it off for over a year -- finally I called John from "Big Guy For Hire" and they were able to come out with one day's notice. They were totally professional, moved a bunch of book cases, a filing cabinet and some heavy printers up and down two flights of stairs and did everything very efficiently. Unloading PODS filled with furniture and household goods into our house.
John and his helper showed up in a timely fashion. There was some confusion over directions, but that got worked out. They promptly began unloading the items from the PODS. These included dressers, mattresses, boxes etc. They were careful, thorough, friendly and fast. They placed items where we asked them to. Nothing was damaged, including the walls. They even helped us move a piece of exercise equipment to my sister-in-laws house. The job was done in about 2 hours. I would definitely use them again!

The BIG GUY for Hire are amazing. John and Derrick were Prompt, courteous, and efficient. I had a multitude of small containers and not many large furniture pieces. It was very time consuming for me to pack them so I can imagine the tediousness of trying to load them into a 16 foot POD and still keep items from damage. Great Move
Highly Recommended

We sold our house and had to be out in 30 days.  Not having found a new house yet we deceided to put our furnishings into PODS(Portable On Demand Storage.)  We called BIG GUY for hire, to handle the move.  John and Derek were out at the appointed time and packed the first 8’x8’x16’ pod in less than two hours.  Two weeks later the second pod was filled just as quickly.

We closed on our new house 90 days later and called BIG GUY for hire, and set up an appointment.  Our PODS were delivered and John and Derek were able to unload both in less than four hours.  Everything was put in place without a hitch, nothing broken or scratched.  Big or small, light or heavy, there was no item they could not handle.

Friends and family are no match for the speed and efficency of John and Derek.  Without their knowledge and expertise no telling how long or how many PODS we would have needed.  We highly recommend BIG GUY for hire, and will be passing out their card and telling our friends who to call when needing moving expertise.

Incredible!
We hired them to move our 3 bedroom, and I rented a truck that was clearly too small. However the guys from Big Guy for Hire were able to fit everything into two truckloads in a 10 ft truck! This included a 55 big screen, and TONS of furniture! Not only are they extremely good at puzzling your truck together, they are strong and they had the whole truck packed up in about 30 minutes! When we arrived at our new house nothing was broken, dented or scratched. I will recommend them to anyone that I know is going to move in the future.

Don't hesitate to hire these Big Guys
I hired John and Derek to meet me at a storage facility to unload my 24-foot rental truck. I was driving to the Detroit area from Cleveland and I didnt get in until 4:30 in the morning. As much as I wouldve wished otherwise, they were right on time to meet me at 10:30 a.m.! They unloaded my truck extremely quickly and were also happy to help me unhook my car from the tow dolly since the tie-downs were stuck tight. Three months later, I called them again to remove my belongings from storage and transfer them to my new home. John and Derek are great guys to work with. They do their jobs efficiently (unlike others Ive hired in the past) and their service is worth much more than they charge because of the hassles they saved me if I had to move my belongings myself.

Great Job
I recenetly hired John to help me move from a house to a condo and he did an excellent job. He showed up on time and got right to work. I was a bit unorganized when he arrived, but that did not make a difference. John just asked what needed to be moved and made quick work out of it. All of my belongings were loaded with care, quickly and efficiently and everything got moved to the condo in 2 1/2 hours without incident. Condo to House Move
We called Big Guy for Hire to move us from a condo to a house in Ann Arbor. This was the 2nd time that Big-guy John and his partner help me to move. And this time is tougher than the last one. I have 2 bedroom stuff with 50 boxes. Most boxes filled with useless books papers. So they are heavy. John showed up on time. We moved from Novi to A2 from a 2nd floor 2 bedroom apartment to another 2nd floor 3 bedroom apartment. Totally, we spent 4.5 hour including a traffic on M-14.
